  JEEVANI OF SHRI ANAND SAI

  GURU PURNIMA
"OM SAI ANANDDAI NAMAH"
(Our Heart Our Soul)

Edition of "July 2000"

Our this meeting ins one the eve of "Guru Pooja day" (i.e. 16th of July 2000) which is also known as "Guru Purnima" or Vyas Pooja. This day is the full moon day in the month of "Aashadh" as per Indian calender. For all those who have taken initiation from a Guru, this day carries a very special significance.

Beloved Gurudev Shri Anand Sai Ji said that - "Remember that God's Grace never goes to the devotee directly. It is always channeled through the Saint in the form of the Guru. Hence the need to get proper initiation of the sacred Divine Name from the Preceptor. " He further said that "Rama Nama is infinitely more effective if initiation is taken from a God - realized Saint as Guru. The Guru's Shakti always helps the aspirant mysteriously in his progress towards the goal." The Guru teaches, guides, protects and leads one to the Ultimate Goal, selflessly. The disciple can never repay his Guru in any form. A true God - realized Saint the Guru never ever expects anything from His disciples. But the disciple has certain responsibilities. When one takes initiation from Guru it means he accepts Him as his Master. From that day onwards the disciple should surrender mentally his everything at the Lotus Feet of his Gurudev. Everything means averting, no exceptions at all. Total self-surrender is a must for the aspirant.

And The Guru picks on only the ego of His disciple. If the disciple is hoes, sincere and dedicated in his approach and never looks back, then the Guru's Grace starts the purifying process. The purification is never physical, it is internal. But the traces of it can be seen because the disciple has to pass through certain physical pains also. While even in physical pain, the disciple should never complain or seek redemption, he constantly prays "Not my will but They Will be done, My Lord". And the Guru constantly watches and controls the intensity. The more the self-surrender the more the Grace of Guru. This is the fist and foremost characteristic of an aspirant. It is for the aspirant to see that his dedication does not become a showpiece; dedication should be manifest in one's day to day life. One's life should speak of the dedication and faith in one's Preceptor.

Mind well, all the efforts, sadhnas and prayers of the disciple are fruitful only if they are backed by Grace of Guru. One the path of Spirituality, Guru's Grace is the utmost necessity, without that one cannot move even a step further on that path. And the Guru's Grace comes only on the ego less and humble.

Hail the Saviour, our Heart, our Soul our Beloved, our all in all , our only own Gurudev.
